VirtualSUG - Virtual SAS Users Group

Why Attend VirtualSUG Events

The Virtual SAS Users Group (VirtualSUG™) is a new and rapidly evolving resource providing web-based participation in events of interest to the international SAS Software user community.

Attending VirtualSUG events provides you with live, “real-time” access to many of the same presentations that are given at “traditional” local, regional and SAS Global Forum events. But, with VirtualSUG, all you need is a telephone and a high-speed internet connection to participate in these sessions.

Since VirtualSUG’s inception in November 2007 thousands of SAS users have participated in live events delivered via the web on a wide range of SAS Software topics. We are actively expanding both the number of presentations offered via this channel as well as adding additional expert presenters, so please check our website, www.virtualsug.org, for important updates and the latest schedule of events.

You may attend from the convenience of your home or office without having to worry about getting stuck in traffic, finding a parking place, or paying for gas and tolls. And, with VirtualSUG, there’s no need to request “travel for training” authorization/funding or spend time away from home to attend these sessions.

Each VirtualSUG session last about an hour, during which a focused presentation on a topic of interest to SAS users is displayed on your computer screen while you hear the presentation via telephone connection.

Groups of SAS users often choose to hold their “VirtualSUG meeting” in a conference or meeting room where many attendees participate with one phone call and with the presentation projected via an LCD or similar device. Attendees may pose questions to the presenter via a “chat” application that is part of the online meeting tool provided by GotoWebinar.com.

Thank you for your interest in VirtualSUG. Please check our website often for updates to the presentation schedule and for other information. And, we welcome you feedback via email to virtualsug@sierrainformation.com.
